UG Drive Ready ("the app") is built and maintained by Obruvik ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how you can delete it.
The app is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with any government entity.
If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Account information. If you sign in (with your Google account, or with an email address and password), we receive your name, email address, profile photo where available, and a user ID through Firebase Authentication. We use this to create and manage your account and to keep your purchases linked to you.
- Usage and analytics. We use analytics to understand how the app is used (for example which screens you open, when you practise, and whether you start a mock exam or a purchase) so we can improve it. We use two providers: Google Firebase Analytics and PostHog. This includes app-interaction events, app and device identifiers, a randomly generated analytics identifier, and an approximate location that is estimated from your IP address. Firebase processes this data on Google servers in the United States; PostHog processes it on servers in the European Union. If you are signed in, PostHog associates these events with your email and name so we can understand and support your account; if you are not signed in, they are anonymous.
- Session recordings. Through PostHog, we also record anonymized recordings of how you interact with the app (the screens you view and the taps you make, captured as periodic screenshots) so we can find and fix parts of the app that are confusing or broken. Any text you type into input fields, including your email, password, and feedback message, is masked and is never recorded. Session recordings are processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union and follow the same setting as analytics below.
- Turning analytics off. You can turn off all analytics and session recordings at any time in Settings, under "Share usage data". When it is off, the app stops collecting analytics events and session recordings.
- Crash and performance data. We use Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes and basic diagnostics, including device information and identifiers, so we can fix problems.
- Feedback and onboarding answers. If you send feedback or complete the onboarding questions, we store your message or answers along with your name, email, and user ID in our database (Firebase Firestore) so we can improve the app.
- Purchases. If you buy the one-time PRO upgrade, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your purchase and entitlement status. We never receive your card or payment details.
- Study progress. Your practice history and progress (which questions you have answered and mastered, your category and module progress, bookmarks, and your onboarding profile) are stored on your device and, when you are signed in, also synced to our database (Firebase Firestore) under your user ID. This lets you restore your progress if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
How your data is shared
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Your data is processed by our service providers (Google Firebase, PostHog, RevenueCat, and Google Play) only to run the features above. Firebase and Google Play process data on Google servers in the United States; PostHog processes analytics and session-recording data on servers in the European Union.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit.
